In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not.
Matthew 2:16-18 in fulfillment of Jeremiah 31:15, which was written a little over six hundred years before Christ was born.
In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,
And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all.
And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.
And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.
And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.
Luke 4:14-21 in fulfillment of Isaiah 61:1-2, which was written about seven hundred years before Christ’s birth.
This list of Old Testament prophecies and their fulfillment could go on and on. This handful was given to illustrate a point; don’t bet against Scripture.
There are a few sites on the web that investigate the probability of one man fulfilling multiple prophecies. The odds that one man could have fulfilled as few as eight separate prophecies is so remote that the probability of such a thing lay within the realm of impossibility.
The truth of the matter is that Jesus Christ has fulfilled a multitude of Old Testament prophecies. He has done the impossible.
Jesus Christ not only said that He is God, His works prove it and the Scripture confirms it.
