Part III &#8211; Access to God Through Christ By His Spirit &#8211; A Study in Ephesians"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><em>For through him (Christ) we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. \u00a0<\/em>Ephesians 2:18<em> KJV<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>WE Vine&#8217;s <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Expository Dictionary of NT Words<\/span>:<\/strong> \u00a0<strong>Access is the Greek word <em>prosagoge&#8217;<\/em> which means;<\/strong><em><strong> a leading into the presence of, denotes access, with which is associated the thought of freedom to enter through the assistance or favour of another&#8230;&#8230;.This access involves the acceptance which we have in Christ with God, and the privilege of His favour towards us.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>MR Vincent&#8217;s <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Word Studies in the New Testament<\/span> defines <em>access<\/em> as; <em>the act of bringing to.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><strong>For through him&#8230;.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>This is referring to Messiah Jesus. \u00a0The first three and a half chapters of Ephesians are about <\/strong><strong>what believers have in Him. \u00a0Jesus Christ is the door through which we enter the kingdom. \u00a0There is no approach to God aside from the Lord Jesus. \u00a0No man can come unto the Father unless he comes through Christ. \u00a0No one can come to Christ unless the Spirit draw him.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><em>I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.<\/em> \u00a0John 10:9<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><strong>&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;we both&#8230;&#8230;<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><em>We both<\/em> refers to Israel and the Gentiles. \u00a0Under the Law, God chose to reveal Himself exclusively to the Jews. \u00a0He chose them as a nation to be His own peculiar people, but they rebelled against God and came under His judgment. \u00a0Under Grace and the coming of the promised Messiah, the door was opened to the Gentiles and the individual Jew. \u00a0Under Grace <em>we both<\/em> <em>have access<\/em> to God through Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit.<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><strong>&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;.have access&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Having <em>access<\/em> refers to having the <em>freedom to enter<\/em> God&#8217;s presence <em>through the assistance or favor of another. \u00a0<\/em><\/strong><strong>When we are in Christ, the Holy Spirit takes us by the hand as dear children and ushers us into the presence of the Father.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><strong>&#8230;&#8230;..by one Spirit&#8230;&#8230;<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>There is only one Holy Spirit. \u00a0If anyone is being led contrary to the Scripture, he is not being led by the Holy Spirit who is the author of Scripture. <\/strong>\u00a0<strong><em>For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God\u00a0spake<\/em> <em>as they were moved by the<\/em> <em>Holy<\/em> <em>Ghost.<\/em>\u00a0II Peter 1:21\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Believers are exhorted to &#8230;.<em>believe not every spirit, but <\/em><em>try the spirits whether they are of God<\/em><em><strong>: <\/strong>because many false prophets are gone out into <\/em><em>the<\/em> <em>world.\u00a0 <\/em>I John 4:1 \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Th<\/strong><strong>e\u00a0Holy Spirit\u00a0is God. \u00a0He cannot lie. \u00a0He will not contradict Himself. \u00a0To be led contrary to Scripture is to be led by another spirit not of God.<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><strong>&#8230;&#8230;.unto \u00a0the Father&#8230;&#8230;<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><em>And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. \u00a0<\/em>Galatians 4:6<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<strong><em>\u00a0Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. \u00a0<\/em>Hebrews 4:16<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><em>Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly&#8230;&#8230;.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For through him (Christ) we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. \u00a0Ephesians 2:18 KJV WE Vine&#8217;s Expository Dictionary of NT Words: \u00a0Access is the Greek word prosagoge&#8217;
