{"id":2011,"date":"2018-07-07T02:39:48","date_gmt":"2018-07-07T02:39:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/leadinghorsestowater.net\/?p=2011"},"modified":"2018-07-07T02:39:48","modified_gmt":"2018-07-07T02:39:48","slug":"as-a-man-thinketh","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/leadinghorsestowater.net\/?p=2011","title":{"rendered":"As A Man Thinketh"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><em>F<\/em><\/strong><em><strong>or as a man\u00a0he\u00a0thinketh\u00a0in\u00a0his\u00a0heart, so is he&#8230;&#8230;<\/strong>.<\/em>.<strong>\u00a0Proverbs 23:7a.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>This verse is commonly used to prove that a man is a sinner.\u00a0 The lesson learned from it is that outward conformity can cover inward transgression.\u00a0 What may appear to be lovely on the exterior, may not necessarily be what is in the heart.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>I believe that\u00a0many obedient Christians suffer guilt because they are so often inundated by wrong thoughts.\u00a0 The guilt comes from\u00a0 focusing on the very appearance of the wrong thought in their heart rather than on their response to it.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>When a wrong thought presents itself to the obedient believer, what does he or she immediately do?\u00a0 The obedient believer confesses it to God in his or her heart.\u00a0 To confess is to say the same thing about it that God does.\u00a0 The Scripture says that <em>if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.\u00a0\u00a0<\/em>The goal of the obedient believer is to have no unconfessed sin.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Are you a believer?\u00a0 Are you an obedient believer?\u00a0 Do you respond to wrong thoughts in this way?\u00a0 Do you confess to the Lord that the wrong thought is sin and that it does not belong in your heart?\u00a0 Does the wrong thought grieve you because it is there?\u00a0 Is this the way you think?\u00a0 If you do respond this way then praise the Lord, <em>for as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he&#8230;&#8230;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>&#8230;&#8230;let the word of Christ dwell in you richly&#8230;..<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For as a man\u00a0he\u00a0thinketh\u00a0in\u00a0his\u00a0heart, so is he&#8230;&#8230;..\u00a0Proverbs 23:7a.
