{"id":2484,"date":"2019-04-20T14:13:07","date_gmt":"2019-04-20T14:13:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/leadinghorsestowater.net\/?p=2484"},"modified":"2019-04-21T12:54:07","modified_gmt":"2019-04-21T12:54:07","slug":"let-god","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/leadinghorsestowater.net\/?p=2484","title":{"rendered":"Let God!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>In Scripture\u00a0the word<em> let<\/em> is a word of consequence.\u00a0\u00a0 <em>Let<\/em>\u00a0can mean to permit or allow but it implies submission in its biblical context.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Is God sovereign?\u00a0 Yes!\u00a0 Is man responsible?\u00a0 Yes!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>God&#8217;s purpose is to transform Christians into the image of His Son.\u00a0\u00a0<em>For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them (Ephesians 2:10).\u00a0 <\/em>God is sovereign and He will accomplish His purpose.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Man is responsible.\u00a0 Transformation takes place as we submit to God in obedience.\u00a0 We can only do this through the power of the Holy Spirit who indwells Christians from the moment we trust in Christ.\u00a0 The enabling power of the Holy Spirit makes our submission and obedience possible.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>The following saying is attributed to Ken Collier (The Wilds of North Carolina): <em>Only two choices on the shelf, serving God or serving self.\u00a0 <\/em>We must die to self.\u00a0\u00a0The apostle Paul said, <em>I die daily<\/em>.\u00a0 Dying to self is already made possible for the believer.\u00a0 Paul writes;<em>\u00a0I am\u00a0crucified\u00a0with\u00a0Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but\u00a0Christ\u00a0liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me<\/em> (Galatians 2:20).\u00a0 We must consider this to be so.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Believers have been made dead to sin.\u00a0 God gives us commands, but He has already provided\u00a0the means to perform them. The means to perform are accessed by faith.\u00a0 <strong><em>Faith is a firm persuasion or conviction brought about by hearing and hearing by the Word of God<\/em> <\/strong>(W.E. Vine&#8217;s Expository Dictionary of Old and New Testament Words).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>What makes you and I think that we can live the Christian life without making the Word of God (our source of faith) the most integral part of our daily walk with the Lord?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Faith is a gift from God that comes from His written Word.\u00a0\u00a0<em>So then faith\u00a0cometh\u00a0by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17).<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><em>&#8230;&#8230;let the word of Christ dwell in you richly&#8230;..<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">If all of this seems foreign to you, perhaps you have not<em> let<\/em> God have His way with you in salvation:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><em>Let Jesus Come Into Your Heart<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>If you are tired of the load of your sin,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Let Jesus come into your heart;<\/em><br \/>\n<em>If you desire a new life to begin,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Let Jesus come into your heart.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><em><span class=\"refrain\">Refrain:<\/span><\/em><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> <em>Just now, your doubtings give o\u2019er;<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> <em>Just now, reject Him no more;<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> <em>Just now, throw open the door;<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> <em>Let Jesus come into your heart.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>If it\u2019s for purity now that you sigh,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Let Jesus come into your heart;<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Fountains for cleansing are flowing nearby,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Let Jesus come into your heart.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><em>If there\u2019s a tempest your voice cannot still,<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> <em>Let Jesus come into your heart;<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> <em>If there\u2019s a void this world never can fill,<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> <em>Let Jesus come into your heart.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>If you would join the glad songs of the blest,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Let Jesus come into your heart;<\/em><br \/>\n<em>If you would enter the mansions of rest,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Let Jesus come into your heart.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Lelia N.
