{"id":3499,"date":"2021-07-10T01:56:36","date_gmt":"2021-07-10T01:56:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/leadinghorsestowater.net\/?p=3499"},"modified":"2021-08-07T20:01:25","modified_gmt":"2021-08-07T20:01:25","slug":"the-law-of-god","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/leadinghorsestowater.net\/?p=3499","title":{"rendered":"The Law of God"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Technicians use diagnosing tools to identify equipment problems.\u00a0 However, these same tools are not able to resolve the problem or remedy the condition, they can only point out the problem.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Such is the Law of God.\u00a0 The Law of God is a rule or measuring stick to show us that we fall short of God&#8217;s standard of righteousness.\u00a0 <em>For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.<\/em>\u00a0Romans\u00a03:23<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>The Law of God cannot furnish the righteousness needed to meet God&#8217;s standard.\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0<strong><em>Is the\u00a0law\u00a0then against the promises of God?\u00a0 God forbid (may it never be): for if\u00a0there\u00a0had been a\u00a0law\u00a0given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the\u00a0law.\u00a0<\/em>Galatians 3:21<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Unfortunately many try to keep the law and deceive themselves into thinking that they can be saved by keeping the law (or a set of rules*)&#8230;.<em>by the deeds of the\u00a0law\u00a0there\u00a0shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the\u00a0law\u00a0is the knowledge of sin.<\/em> Romans 3:20<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>So for what purpose does the law of God serve?<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0<em><strong>Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to\u00a0bring\u00a0us unto\u00a0Christ, that we might be justified by faith.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/em><strong>Galatians 3:24<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Go ahead, make up your own set of rules to establish your own righteousness&#8230;..and you will fail to keep your own rules.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>For they being ignorant of God&#8217;s\u00a0righteousness, and going about to establish their own\u00a0righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto\u00a0the\u00a0righteousness\u00a0of God.<\/em> Romans 10:3<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><em>And be found in him, not having mine own\u00a0righteousness, which is of\u00a0the\u00a0law, but that which is through\u00a0the\u00a0faith of\u00a0Christ,\u00a0the\u00a0righteousness\u00a0which is of God by faith: <\/em>Philippians 3:9<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&#8230;let the word of Christ dwell in you richly&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>The Law demands what we cannot give, but Christ gives grace that by faith we live!<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Technicians use diagnosing tools to identify equipment problems.\u00a0 However, these same tools are not able to resolve the problem or remedy the condition, they can only point out the problem.
