1 Thessalonians 4:13-18<\/strong><\/p>\n

But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep <\/em>(the dead in Christ), that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.\u00a0\u00a0<\/em>For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus<\/em>\u00a0will God bring with him.<\/em><\/p>\n

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive\u00a0and\u00a0remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent<\/em> (precede) them which are asleep.\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Then we which are alive\u00a0and\u00a0remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.\u00a0\u00a0<\/em>Wherefore comfort one another with these words.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Christ Returneth!<\/strong><\/p>\n

It may be at morn, when the day is awaking,<\/em>
\n When sunlight through darkness and shadow is breaking,<\/em>
\n That Jesus will come in the fullness of glory<\/em>
\n To receive from the world \u201cHis own.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\n O Lord Jesus, how long, how long<\/em><\/strong>
\n Ere we shout the glad song\u2014<\/em><\/strong>
\n Christ returneth! Hallelujah!<\/em><\/strong>

It may be at midday, it may be at twilight,<\/em>
\n It may be, perchance, that the blackness of midnight<\/em>
\n Will burst into light in the blaze of His glory,<\/em>
\n When Jesus receives \u201cHis own.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Oh, joy! oh, delight! should we go without dying,<\/em><\/strong>
\n No sickness, no sadness, no dread and no crying;<\/em><\/strong>
\n Caught up through the clouds with our Lord into glory,<\/em><\/strong>
\n When Jesus receives \u201cHis own.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
