During my college days in Atlanta, I picked up a Christian publication one day that was left in a pew after chapel. \u00a0<\/strong>There was a poem in that paper entitled “Don’t Quit”. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

I was so impressed by the message of that poem that I cut it out of the paper and kept it nearby for many years after that. \u00a0I lost track of it a few years ago when changing jobs and I just recently found it again. \u00a0I would like to share it with you.<\/strong><\/p>\n

DON’T QUIT!<\/strong><\/p>\n

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will, <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

When the road you’re trudging seems all up hill, <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

When the funds are low, and the debts are high,<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

When care is pressing you down a bit, <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Rest if you must, but don’t you quit!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Life is queer with its twists and turns, <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

As everyone of us sometimes learns, <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

And many a failure turns about, <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

When he might have won had he stuck it out, <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Don’t give up though the pace seems slow, <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

You may succeed with another blow.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Success is failure turned inside out, <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The silver tint of the clouds of doubt, \u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

And you never can tell how close you are, <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

It may be near when it seems so far, <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit, <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

It’s when things seem worse, <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

that you must not quit.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n
