Count’em….One!

Husbands quite often think of their wife as something they own. Scripture however teaches that the wife becomes a part of her husband and vice versa.
The two become one, part of each other.

Perhaps this sheds light on the verse that says; But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul.  Proverbs 6:32

Can a man and a woman who have become one in marriage, literally tear themselves apart through the act of adultery?

A man is to love his wife as he loves his own body and as he loves himself, because she is (Ephesians 5).
